About Ruler Trust
We are a small team selling household goods with the specification printed. This page explains who we are, how we choose what to stock, and what we will not do.
Why we started
Buying homeware online is mostly guesswork. Listings repeat the same four adjectives, the photographs are borrowed from a supplier catalogue, and the one number you actually need — how much does this jar hold, how wide is this rack, how thick is this mat — is missing. You order, it arrives, and it is the wrong size.
Ruler Trust exists to fix that one problem. Every listing states the material, the capacity or dimensions, and the product type. When we do not know a number, we say so rather than inventing one. That is the whole proposition, and it is where the name comes from.
How we choose stock
We carry 50 products across 6 departments. A product gets listed only once we have handled a sample and measured it ourselves. We favour narrow ranges of things that work over wide ranges of things that photograph well.
- Measured, not estimated. Capacity in millilitres or litres, dimensions in centimetres, weight in grams. Whatever the supplier claims, we check it.
- Materials named in full. “Borosilicate glass” and “stainless steel”, not “premium quality”.
- Stocked, not drop-shipped. If it is listed as in stock, it is in our warehouse and ships within 2 business days.
What we will not do
A few things are common in this market that we have decided against, and we would rather be explicit about them than quietly different.
- No permanent fake discounts. Most stores here show a crossed-out price on nearly every product, which makes the number meaningless. We reduce a small part of the range at a time — currently 49 of 50 products. A crossed-out price here is a price we genuinely charged.
- No payments over chat. Every payment runs through checkout — never by asking you to transfer money to a personal account. Read the payment policy.
- No listings we cannot fulfil. Out-of-stock products stay visible so you can request a restock alert, but they are never sorted to the top and you cannot add them to a bag.
